We're creative individuals, or at least we tend to think of ourselves
as such.  I rather think there's not much one could post here that
is without a doubt off-topic;  the thread about quantum physics, for
instance, ties into... well, poor example, but some comments can be
very enlightening -- and if nothing else, we give ourselves wonderful
material for in-jokes.

The most on-topic posts here seem to be about programming, however;
we don't discuss the artistic side of IF often, possibly because it's
interminable argument with no clear outcome.

I'm not sure:  is it a good thing to be so old as to not have a charter,
or not?

Besides, charters are for people who read too many newsgroups.

I would argue with some of the reasoning behind the inclusion of
comp.games.development.design, however; the previous discussion
justifies it to some degree, but this type of "play"-by-email isn't so
much a computer game as a writing project which just so happens to be
carried out using computer technology.  i.e., the practice would suffer
only time delay if it were moved to, say, the post;  but I'm sure these
people have enough bandwidth spent on the definition of "computer game,"
so I'll cease that line of thought --and, in fact, the whole.
