I didn't see the start of this thread, but I'm reminded of a couple of
people I've had lengthy arguments with.  With one, particularly exasperating
individual, once I realized what he was trying to say I agreed with him (or
vice versa).  But getting on the same wavelength was like pulling teeth.
Probably the majority of arguments and misunderstandings (even some wars)
boil down to miscommunication.

With another individual, a good friend, we might be shouting across the
table at each other during a meeting and go out for a beer afterwards.

I don't know if either of the above is applicable here, but I seem to recall
Brandon likes beer.
