Thanks - a site redesign is in the works (though not too soon - lots of
other stuff to do...)

Well, actually we have been playing this one (and improving it) in waves
since 1992, so there's been lots and lots of work put into it (and so
far, players have liked it; it runs stable, the game is balanced, makes
sense, et c; we have run 10 or so successful test games altogether since
1998). I know what you're trying to say, but the experience of what
you're describing - insanity and idiocy from attempting the unknown - I
had with LoG 1 (which was written and dumped in its entirety back in
1992; I guess I climbed the hardest part of the learning curve then).
