Try this Scott (when Rich makes it workd)

SET O ATTACK KILL    # we are batbarians and do not take prisoners
  DECLARE 0 HOSTILE    # attack anyone on sight
  other
    .
    .
    .
  commands

If any one enters your space, attack.  You can go about your business, and if
anyone comes to town, you can attack them (to kill, caputre or booty).

Now for the more civilized

SET O ATTACK CAPTURE  # we want to detain, not hurt people
  DECLARE 0 UNFRIENDLY  # we don't want to attack stacks if we can't win
  other
    .
    .
    .
  commands

I favor the latter.

Once Rich makes these last two attitudes work (they already work for NPCs)
it will open up lots of possibilities.  For the benevolent and for the
blood thirsty.

Think in reverse.  I want to go into a new area and kill everyone on sight.

This makes possible Highwaymen!  ooooooh!  What an idea!

Anyway, if we all lean on Rich to make this work, it will add a whole new
dimension.
