Yes, Bards can bless and curse characters and acquire rumors and myth
information.  No they cannot (to the best of my knowledge) make healing
draughts.  And they definitely cannot make poisons.

They have a special character action called Assasinate.  If they blow the
assassination, then they may find themselves involved in a duel, or they can
get captured.  Yes, assassins can make poisons.

Okay, I see a trend here.  What you need to look at is the middle of the
GAME ORDERS book.  (If you have a copy.) There is a list of character actions,
who can perform them and which phase.  This will answer all your general who
can do what questions.

Spys.  I have found, to my cost, that to have a spy or a Seer or have a friend
who is willing to help you out have one, is absolutely essential in Legends.
Others may disagree with me, but I don't think so.  Spys can get you
information, like what is in a force, which is vital.  Because the way the
rules work, you don't know what's in a force until you enter it.  Unless you
scry or spy.  One of my biggest gripes in some way.

There are varying opinions on how useful stealth is.  Stealth basically makes
you hard to see.  So if all of the characters in your party have stealth, then
it makes your force *very* hard to spot.  The one character may reduce your
chances by a little, but not a lot.  I have had fun being in forces, looking
at the characters who don't have stealth while they couldn't see me.

Yes, rangers can make healing drafts, and like assassins, you don't have to
be in a guild to make them. I do it all the time.  Very useful.

There are varying opinions on this too.  It's not vital, but since familiars
are unknowns, they can be anywhere from nice to have to very useful.  It's
the luck of the draw.  In one campaign, my friend got a *very* nice familiar
which upped his stats and gave him some useful spells.  I got a familiar
recently which only gave me a couple of spells I didn't know, and that was
all.  In the beginning, they can be nice, because most likely you don't have
a lot and every little bit helps.
