It's a better value for MY money, because I like to role-play more and DM
gives my 5 characters to role-play instead of one.  If you are only there
to fight and advance your one character, then AG is a better deal.

There is a difference between informing and just bashing, (and the line
between them is sometimes a might thin, I know.)  I don't mind seeing the
two games compared, or hearing about individual features of each game
(which is what any decent review in a magazine would do), but I would
prefer a little less "DM sucks, AG is great", and more "IMHO this feature
of AG is nice, but if you like role-playing then it lacks this and that."
Every game has it's strengths and weaknesses, and credibility demands that
both be discussed.

No, I am playing DM because I no longer live near anyone that uses my
particular role-playing system, and I no longer have as much time to
spend at it since I am now married and making house payments.  DM offers
me a creative outlet without putting huge time demands on me.  The arena
concept just provides a reasonable backdrop for me to accomplish this.

Not everyone has the same motivation for playing that you do Matt.  Everyone
enjoys or dislikes a game for their own personal reasons.  At the moment, I
find DM well suited to what I am looking for.  I will continue to watch and
see how AG develops, and I am confident that it will continue to be a fine
game.  For now, however, it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
