Fair enough.  My wife and I are elves in our first game (NIC4), so we
only have the Hahsandra bible, but I'll post it to encourage Dean and
others to continue.

The Books of Hahsandra

The Gods were restless and in their wake they sought to impress upon
each other the greatness of their own creations.  Yet as wondrous as each
being and thing was, they existed only in isolation.  Then She who was
Mother of the Gods, and silent during this restless time, spoke to them
all and created the worlds above and below so that all may place their
ideas within a great plan and let them stand the tests of time.

...The Elves were her gift to the world and empowered by Her to use and
test the world's other creations.  For this they were given magic and free
will to mimic the efforts of the demi-gods or to aspire to their place.

...For She valued the efforts of one over the collective work of many and
so it is that in all things the Elves sought individual achievement and
petty jealousy; even within the family was conflict; and strife was known to
walk the lands.  So She who is not spoken of, highest of the Demi-Gods cast
a great spelling and the Dark Elves came to being, in all things collective
they excelled and served with the Elves to Build the great cities and roads

...and it came to pass that the Unspoken One, jealous of all the creations
sought to remake them and the rest of the Gods were angered.  A great war
broke out with the Gods thundering and warring on each side until the
Mother awoke and struck a mighty blow against the Head of the World, where
they had fought and all was laid to waste...to restart again.

...of this She said to the Elves: these Demi-Gods are but shallow shades
of the true faith.  Yours is the Glory of the Will to Be, and you shall
raise yourself above the toys of those who would deceive you with their
chosen ones...and as each of you shall obtain the level they shall be
lessened and will know the power of True Creation.

...beware of those who seek to remake the souls of the dead for these
undead are an insult to the Creation and a reminder of the shame of those
who have warred in the past over their own failures...destroy them for
they will weaken your glory and overshadow your worth.

The Church is structured very tightly around the Temples with the
head of the Church being Mother Superior (Regardless of sex, though there
is a case of a Gender Change which seems to be of no bother to the Elves).
The Mother Superior (Title #2841) is chosen amongst Elves that seek
it who have at least a level 20 in the Faith and by those who have the
highest Prestige.  While no specific ban exists there has never been
a Dark Elf Mother Superior and no other races are eligible.
The duties of the Mother Superior are:

1. Create a new Spell for the Faith once a year until there is a maximum
of 30 Spells.  The Spell must not be a battle or a duel spell and it must
be in line with the Elven philosophy (ie no undead favorable spells).  The
Mother Superior must send a message to all of the faith explaining the
spell and must keep all informed of it upon demand.

2. May increase any Church of the Faith by 10 guild points by spending
a whole month praying in the church (via Special Action) this is in
addition to any other benefit of the praying.

3. May remove one spell (other than in the series 200-300) if the number
of spells is at 30.  This can be done once a year.

4. May summon to the Temple Return (G2663) in the Imperial Palace any
priest of the religion who is not a major position holder (#1-200).  This
may be done once per year and the character (dead or alive, prisoner or
free) is teleported to the Temple.

5. The first Mother Superior who owns THE LOST TEMPLE guild may by way of
a Special Action gain 20 Levels in Priesthood and achieve a Lesser Demi-god
status.

6. May give out 1 title (Defender of the Faith) to any main character
(#1-200) of the faith, that accomplishes any one of the following minor
quests to be chosen by the Mother Superior:
	a. Bring in as a prisoner any live monster and turn it over to her.
	b. Bring in any one item that is needed to win the game for the Elven
	   Empire
	c. Bring in as a Prisoner (Dead or Alive) any level 15 Priest
	   of the Temple of the Dead (Religion 10) and give it to her
