Legends NIC Bibles From: drhj@v1.astro.cf.ac.uk (Dean Johnson) Date: Tue, 12 Oct 1993 16:12:44 +0000 Since my post listing the NIC Bibles that I have: 1) Percival 2) Temple of the Dead 3) Shanah 4) Sarn 5) The Druidic Council I have received one request for Perceval and one for Sarn. I have typed in the Shanah bible to respond to the original request for a bible to get things going. It is included below. I too would like to increase my collection of Bibles. If you people with Universal Church, Barosa, Elven bibles etc start posting, I'll post the rest of mine. I've started typing them in (the eternal optimist) in preparation. All the Best, Dean #595 The Warrior's Way Sallahman the Prophet of Shanah ...The people of the Suntag Plains had been listless in their faith. Tribalism and disrespect for God's will had replaced strength and pride in the step of the people. For this reason, Shanah, the One True God, reached out to Sallahman to be his Prophetand lead the people to the path of Glory in His name. ...Sallahman cared little for uniting the races of barbarians in the West, but instead moved to lead one or the other group in mass mobilizations of their citizens into hordes of the FAITH. Placing top importance on struggle as a means of attaining favor, Sallahman put Knight and Warrior on the forefront of the worship of Shanah and his fierce code of courage. ...Often found in the lead of a charge against a village that turned away from God's Way, Sallahman would order the slaughter of all the infidels and the adoption of their children to be raised in the Arm of God so that the disgrace of their line can be removed by their struggles in the Name of God. All other religions feared his wrath and responded with increased violence against the Path... ...finally setting an ambush, the Pope Corin trapped the Knights of Sallahman in the Pass of Devotion and with his Crusading Host slew all 300 of them. Sallahman himself was slain by the Pope using an Elven made ancient longbow and a vile purple arrow singing with arcane power. As he fell mortally wounded and Shanah's Call was heard in his soul, Sallahman proclaimed: "For as long as there is a sword and flame, Shanah shall rule." ------ The religion is structured around great leaders of the faith where the value of tactics and personal combat are placed on an equal footing with the priestly levels. The title First Sword is given to the victorious priest who wins the Conclave (Special comparison not needing attendance) each year of any priest with at least 20 levels of faith. Each year the importance of tactics or personal combat is stressed randomly. The First Sword duties include: 1. May create one spell a year to be given to the Priesthood. He must explain the spell to all the faith. The spell must be a battle or duel spell and conform to the philosophy of the Faith. 2. Mat create a Troop training type which is restricted to Priest-Knights the cost of which must be a basic a basic cost of between 300-350 but will have a fixed price of only 275. This troop type must have in its name: Shanah. He must by Special Action teach it to any other priest of the faith on demand to a maximum of 2 per month and a grand total of 8 other priests from different positions must be taught. He must send out a message to all members of the Faith explaining the Troop Type and must provide the information on demand to any new member of the Faith who is a Priest/Knight. 3. May after laying siege to any sanctuary of any other religion for one full month, declare a "Holy War" and the entire army of the First Sword which has laid siege for the time will be given the status of "Blessed of Shanah" unless they already have special status and all troops will be increased 3 levels. The declaration must be done by Special Action and requires a message to be sent to all the world on the attack. The sanctuary must then be attacked on a conquer and enslave military order (#2) with Guilds to be destroyed. The First Sword may do this once a year and must OWN and LEAD (Slot 9), the Legion in the attack. Referenced By Up
