More accurately, everyone but Glenn and David relized that they had no
chance to win, and the two of them didn't have the 10+ hours per turn
they needed to do a turn right (and both of them are too good to do a
half*ssed job of it). [I just checked my copy of the results, and there
was a third player, Urgath-Legion that was viable as well.]

Having endured 100 turns or so in Alpha, and been in a similar time
and economics position, I can say I can not blame them.

I do have a copy of all the status lines for the entire game, if it is
really needed.

Howard, waiting for those points for Alpha so he can be near the top
10 again. (:-)
