OK here is my opinion.

I like both spells but not to be casted by the smae character.  You see I
have 4 characters. Sgt. Talis has L5 Cure Party. Mina Eclipse has L5 Cure
Party (Cure party should be a skill everyone has except those that cast
Protection or Magic Fury) Cure Party is cumalative (probably spelled
wrong. oops).  Some characters take alot of cure party levels to heal
them.  So if Sgt. and Mina both cast on the same adv., they cast at L10
(L5 + L5).

As for protection, I like it too.  Scarab is only L2 but it works well.
You see, protection adds to your armor class.  Depending on your level,
you can have a character only wearing leather but be PROTECTED as if he
were wearing Plate.

Melanie my last character is a pick lock specialist.  I would get CP for
her but she worships Canaar. Canaar hates his followers to cast CP.  And
with all the things she's using her KPs for I can't afford to get
Protection for her.

If you are having trouble with gc's, all you have to do is ask.  There are
plenty of us that help out newer players.  I must have given away over
10,000gc to players by buying them equipment, medallions or just giving
away the gc.  All you need is ask.

I know someone that runs a halfling that may help you.  Once I find his
