Howdy.

I am just a new player to SFW, but I think you could use those plastic sheet
protectors and those eraseable type markers.  Highlight the paper map in any
colors you prefer for the permament stuff, and then use the markers on the
plastic covering to place your ships.

Of course, you could just my method of just trying to picture your ships on
the map, but I have a feeling that this will get pretty rough if I manage to
survive to the later stages of the game. <G>
