SFW - mapping question From: johnb@wotangate.sc.ti.com (John Bach) Date: Mon, 09 Oct 1995 00:00:00 +0000 I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a good method of mapping for use in Star Fleet Warlords. The reason I ask is because in the later stages of the game, it seems that you need to keep track of a dozen or more sectors, each sector representing an 8 1/2" x 11" page. And my understanding is you only receive a map for each sector when you initially scan it with a special ship type (you don't receive the maps each turn). The only methods I can think of are: 1) Have many copies around, each turn cutting and taping them together; then writing the current turn information on them; either erase them for next turn or throw out and do it over again. 2) As you get maps for each sector gradually throughout game, laminate them so they can be reused easily. The problems I have: - these above methods seem inconvenient to me - the size becomes difficult to deal with (I could use a copier to reduce them, but size would still be large and this is also inconvenient) Anyone have any better methods or ideas?
