My dealings with Greg are zero, but he has a very good point about
multiple adverts.  I've never considered it a problem of paying for each
message (since I have never had to pay).  Advertising on I-net has always
been considered a no-no.  That is because it was meant to be a
non-commercial service.  Also, whether one pays or not, slogging through
hundreds of adverts would be a serious nusiance, and this is what you
would be doing if everyone used the net to advertise.  My only complaint
with Greg has been that he frequently responds to questions about "what
new games to play" by telling the poster to read the FAQ.  However, many
of these instances take place when I cannot find the FAQ posted.  If the
FAQ is going to be the only source for new game info, then it should be
posted constantly on the group.  Keeping it at an FTP site does not help
new browsers (whom usually ask such questions).  Also, I think that every
PBM/PBeM company should be able to write their own paragraph for the FAQ
to go with Greg's comments if this is the only source of info.

Relevant commercial post have a tendency to grow out of control.  Such is
the nature of capitalism.
