Objections to adverts? From: Jim McLennan <jmclennan@trashcity.org> Date: Fri, 10 May 1996 00:00:00 +0000 I've been reading this group for a few months now, and it would seem to be the case that Greg is the only person who seems to have, basically, minimal tolerance for adverts. This opinion is entirely up to him. However, since his views seem to be radically out of step with the majority of users here, it seems clear that he is in no position to attempt to enforce his views by flaming people who breach his ludicrously stringent guidelines. His whinges about "having to pay for the adverts" are both childish and arrogant, considering that his posts generate far more messages than all the adverts in this group put together. If he has a problem, I suggest he moves to a service provider that does not charge by the message. There are plenty around. I really don't care how LONG he has been here. Dinosaurs become extinct. If he is unable or unwilling to accept that relevant commercial posts do not offend the majority of posters here, as seems to be the case, than perhaps he should desubscribe. -- Jim McLennan (unofficial keeper of the proposed Nastassja Kinski FAQ, but until it appears, try http://www2.magmacom.com/~wduford/nasty.htm) !!!!
