Regardless of the annoyance level of the VGAP people, that is entirely
irrelevant to the original complaint.  The original complaint was that
VGAP posts do not belong in rec.games.pbm (not some other rec group,
but THIS rec group) when in fact, that game is quite on-topic for this
group.  Statements that BASIC is better than C are NOT on topic for
this group and are, by definition, not posts about VGAP.

I get as annoyed as anyone else about irrelevant posts and
intentionally inflamatory posts (like, for instance, the one that I
originally responded to on this topic) but that is no reason to ban a
PBeM game from this group, which is what the original poster was
advocating.

Don't flame the game, flame the person who's making the idiotic posts.
'nough said.
