I agree in theory, BUT there have been so many VGAP whackos who have
been invading other newsgroups with pointless responses, and crossposting
them to the VGAP group that EVERYONE is getting annoyed.  (I like VGAP,
and I don't think that everyone who plays it is a weirdo, just these
"VGAP is King, so BITE ME!!!!" style of posters)

The VGAP people are bitching to the Stars! players about invading their
group, and the pbm/strategy players are getting pissed about having
VGAP thrust into the middles of so many discussion which don't even
MENTION VGAP until some total asshole decides to interject.  Considering
the general lack of tact which tends to prevail on the VGAP group
(which I am guilty of also), I think that most people would agree that
any crossposts which involve that group are generally a bad idea.

If someone wants to seriously discuss the differences between VGAP and
other PBemail games, then _perhaps_ r.g.pbm is a valid place to do it.
But if you just want to flame about how Basic is better than other
languages, or Tim is God, or MOO/Stars!/STNG/Star Wars/etc is just a
cheap rip-off of VGAP, then keep it to your own group.  And under any
circumstance, don't crosspost this stuff, it never accomplishes anything
other than pissing people off, no matter what your intentions are.
