It is better to not play in your own games. Even though
you might not have to fix bugs, you will get infrequent
bug reports.  For instance by people that say they send
in orders, but whos orders were not processed.  You then
have to look through the game data to see if this is true.
Or similar situations resulting from email problems.

Also, you might get real bug reports, and then you will have to
verfiy that it is really a bug, and then notify the developer.

It might not happen frequently, but when it does you will
have to quit playing your position.... it would be unfair
otherwise.

Also, if you were to win the game people will never ever believe
you won it in a fair way ;)
