ANNOUNCEMENT: New Galaxy Game at Geek.NET - Galaxy "Cluster" From: Galaxy PBeM Server <galaxy@geek.net> Date: Mon, 12 Oct 1998 00:00:00 +0000 You may see multiple copies of this message as it is going to several different lists. I apologize. I made several attempts to remove duplicate addresses. I am currently starting a new GalaxyNG game. Registration will continue through Monday, October 26. Sometime in the evening I will cull the respondants together and send out the turn0 reports. GAME 1: Galaxy Cluster # of Turns/week: 2 Day/Time Processed: Saturday and Wednesday at 7:30 pm CST # of Homeworlds: 4 Max # of Players: None NOTES: Turn0 reports will be sent out on Monday the 26th and will be due by the following Wednesday, October 28th. After that it will be a normal schedule. In this game, each player will start with a _very_ large concentration of unpopulated planets located less than 25 light years from their initial home planets. In between each player's cluster of worlds will be a large distance (at least 75LY). There will be few (if any) "stuff" planetoids filling that void. The strategy in this game will be to practice colonization and industry-building techniques. Warfare will be put off for later in the game due to the large distances that will need to be crossed; ie the enemy can see you coming! So build up that drive tech! ---- TO ENROLL Send an email to galaxy-register@geek.net. In the subject line, put the words 'enroll gamename'. For example 'enroll cluster'. The order is not case sensitive. The body of the message is ignored. Please do not enroll in the game if you are not interested in playing or don't think you'll have the time. Having 30% of the players not even bother to submit turn1 orders gets a little old! The turn0 report will be sent to the address in the FROM: line of the message. If you want your reports to go to a different address, you will have to change them in your turn1 orders. Up
