About the spacecraft carriers.....

I don't think that the Galaxy game really needs this sort of complication. I
have considered this sort of thing before and thought it interesting. However
you should consider the following :-

In the real world Carriers are used to ferry craft to an area where they are
needed because small fast craft do not have the range and endurance to get
where they are needed. In the galaxy game system there are no fuel limits
imposed and so fighters can go as far as they like. They can also move faster
than the proposed carriers, unless the carriers have exceedingly high drives.

To take your example:-

@ drive tech 1

a fighter (1 1 1 1 0) would have speed 6.6667

whilst your carrier (50 2 10 15 20 5) (unloaded) would have a speed of only
7.547
                but alas (loaded with 20 fighters) would have a speed of 5.195

This seems to me to mean they are just an uneconomic way of moving small ships
around. An lets face it 20 fighters may not last long in a fight anyway. But
the extra 64 that you could have built instead of the carrier could make that
battle a walkover.
