Freighters of course can be set to immediately attempt to withdraw from battle if they are attacked. But for carriers and long range bombardment ships I could make them fight at long range only as long as their are other ships set to defend them. For instance if you have a carrier ship and it has two smaller destroyer size ships along with it, it will remain in long range mode as long as the destroyers and any fighters protecting the carrier are still functioning. Once all obstacles have been removed, then of course the enemy ships will be able to close with the carrier. Also, somone sent me an email about piracy and smuggling. I intend to have a black market system available in the game as well. These markets will not display on anyones turn sheets, they always have to be addressed by number. If you don't know the number, you can't trade there. Piracy is easy of course, just cripple and capture the ship you are pirating. Smuggling will probably fall under the same lines as Olympia. Some items are not "morally acceptable" items, like slaves and narcotics. You can trade in them at black markets of course, and possibly in open markets, but doing so would enatil some sort of risk. More ideas to look into, thanks for the feedback. Eric Up
