Two Blind Galaxy Games Starting From: bampton@cetus6a.cs.utk.edu (Howard the Energizer) Date: Thu, 15 Oct 1998 00:00:00 +0000 This is being posted for Bernhard Schmidt (schmidtb at securitas.net), as his news server is being cranky. It is highly likely that I'll be in at least one of these games, so use care when asking questions and signing up that you ask the right person! Howard Bampton bampton@cs.utk.edu http://www.cs.utk.edu/~bampton/ System Administrator, Motorola Fight spam: http://www.cauce.org/ Hello together! Two new Blind Galaxy Games are about to come up: Pegasus: One turn per week. Andromeda: Two turns per week. Turns will run Friday for both games and Tuesday additionnally for Andromeda, at 12:00 ME(S)T. There is a forecaster, and a double-blind forwarder - I know that outside mails seem to get more common, but I would beg you to honor the spirit of _BLIND_ galaxy. If you want to freely communicate with your competitors, Standard Galaxy might be the one you seek. Both games will start on October 30. For rules and faq see http://www.cs.utk.edu/~bampton/blind.html One rule will be specifically enforced: There can only be one. No alliance wins. Only one winner (per game, of course ;-) If you know of someone who would like to play tell him/her. The galaxies will have a size appropriate to their respective number of players; around 20 players - at least if my estimations are correct. To sign on, send me (schmidtb at securitas.net), a message - and tell me in which game(s) you want to sign on, and what name you want. Hope to see you signed on, Bernhard P.S.: No, I will not play in games I GM. -- $1000 plus $1 per byte fee for proofing commercial mail sent to me.
