This time, the victim was Major Samson Delgrade of the Imperial Naval And Postal Bureau. Althought the Major was not killed outright, only his brain survived the onslaught of laser rifle fire from an abandoned warehouse only 200 meters from where Delgrade was giving a hygene speech to young school children. "I was discussing the propper use of fig leaves in the absence of toilet paper as a cleansing agent, when suddenly my left eye exploded." said Major Delgrade with the aid of a neuronic synthesizer. After a brief volley of laser fire, 3 soldiers and a grade school principle lay dead, and Delgrade's head was severely injured. Luckily for Major Delgrade, one of the children from Terra Primus Elementary School For The Spasticly Gifted just happened to have a bug-catching jar handy and was able to scoop up the Major's brain intact until paramedic bots arrived at the scene. The Major's grey matter was rushed to Thweegl Beta Primate Hospital, where it now resides in a stasis chamber until a suitable robotic recepticle can be manufatured. The suspect, a Zephyr Female, escaped capture in the confusion and meyhem which followed the assassination attempt. DATELINE Sol 10.31,98 In order to abate the ever-growing vandalizing and terrorism sponsored by the Alien Liberation Front, the Imperial Navy has established the Imperial Overlord Service, or I.O.S. for short. DATELINE Rigel 11.02.98 Dante's Inferno, a very popular Terran Nightclub on Pontus I was destroyed by a fire, apparently set by an arsenist. Local police officials released no information about suspects, but since the fire was started close to the ground with a ZiophNara brand cigar, many speculate that one or more Zephyr were involved.
