Galaxy Question (Cargo & Colonization) From: SubBob@camden.tds.net (Bob King) Date: Sat, 14 Nov 1998 00:00:00 +0000 I've recently started playing my first game of Galaxy. Although I've read most of the FAQ's and strategy guides, I still have a couple (probably more than that, actually) unanswered questions. 1) Can ships carry less than their cargo capacity? For example, if a planet has 5.70 COL and Group 7 consists of 3 ships (2.00 cargo capacity each), what happens when I give "Load 7 COL"? Will it only load two of them? or would the last ship have 1.7 cargo? I know Groups must consist of identical ships, so would the answer be any different if I did "Load 7 COL 2" followed by "Load 7 COL"? 2) Will you gain "ownership" of a planet by dropping CAP on it? or must you put COL on it first? I'm confused as to how some players have claimed so many planets so fast. My first guess is that they are only putting one COL on each planet, but even then I don't seem to have that many colonists to go around yet. Thanks in advance for any help or direction on the above two questions. ---------------------------------- Bob King - SubBob@camden.tds.net ICQ 4687207 Referenced By Up
