Description:

This is a PBeM AD&D rule based fantasy rpg I call Prisoner's Dilemma.  I
ran it for about 3 years but stopped when I became sucked into the MMORPG
world (World of Warcraft / Everquest / etc. - you know the type...)

Cleaning up old files and came across all my notes and plotting - decided
to restart the game with new players.

Prisoner's Dilemma uses the AD&D rules (3rd edition, but honestly you
could probably manage to play without the books) but the players writing
skills and storycraft are more important. In fact, anyone whose main
enjoyment of the game comes from the rules, i.e. complex "house of cards"
character construction based on obscure references and loopholes shouldn't
bother contacting me.

Whats with the title? Well, the game begins very simply. Your character is
a prisoner and the party will escape in the first few moves - or if you
join later, expect to escape from something solo before meeting up with
the party. The key point is that the characters enter the game with
nothing but the skills and abilities that couldn't be taken away...

There will be many choices for the characters to make. My plotting is
loose enough to allow the players to substantially change the direction of
the game while staying within the storyline. To encourage the players to
feel they are helping write the story, as opposed to being ran through a
module, they can expect various dilemma's to crop up frequently.
(Dilemma: A circumstance in which a choice must be made between two
alternatives that seem equally desirable, OR undesirable.)
