Perhaps you have heard about the game called Ostrakism (or Ostracism:) I created this game in August and it has become quite popular in Russia. There are about a hundred players now. I would like to start and English language version now. The rules are not the same as the ones for the previous 'Ostracisms'. The main difference is that you do not just vote for each other, but you become a cannibal and eat each other! These are part of the rules: After an incredible storm and shipwreck, a few of the passengers on a huge ocean liner survive and reach an unexplored island. There is absolutely nothing to eat there, and each morning the survivors must choose a victim from among themselves to eat. After some lively discussion, everyone casts their vote. The poor person who receives the greatest number of votes tries to struggle, but his/her fight is hopeless. And another fine meal is cooked and eaten, but it is difficult to enjoy it for long because all of the people think, "Who will be the next?" At the end, when only two survivors are left, the big Rescue Ship comes and they are saved!! The seaman open bottles of champagne, celebrating the tourists rescue. Everyone listens to their incredible story...it's been a real holiday. But they don't know yet, that tomorrow, their ship will meet another terrible storm..... This game is one of diplomacy, role playing and is played with a strong sense of black humor :) I will send the Rules and game mechanisms.
