Just out of curiosity, on a scale of 0..10, where would you rate Global
Diplomacy on the level (amount) of diplomacy required?

(A 0 means that no time is spent by the average player on diplomacy; a 10
means that virtually all of an average player's time is consumed by
diplomacy, leaving little or nothing left over for military strategy or
economics).

Up until now, I haven't considered the break-down of an average player's
turn.  Perhaps these categories could be used:

Preview - a cursory examination of the turn, just to see what happened
Scrutiny - a much closer examination, paying attention to the finer details
Resolution - deciding what you are actually going to do
Diplomacy - communicating with other players
Review - checking your planned actions
Execution - actually doing the turn

Hmmm...  Six categories is probably too much.  I'm a sucker for simplicity
and would like to have as few as possible, but as many as necessary.  Any
suggestions for a better, more streamlined set of categories?

Also out of curiosity, what sort of system (if any) is used to compare
games in Flagship, and another (e)zines?
