Flame From: "Warrior Games - News" <warrior@zen.co.uk> Date: Fri, 26 Feb 1999 00:00:00 +0000 I am fairly new to the email/internet scene and I read most of all that is posted here but I see that the whole communication level on this newsgroup is sub-human and always degenerates into insults, unless you have a sense of humour and take it with a pinch of salt. Even so, I am guilty of being part of the "Im incensed brigade" when it hits a raw nerve. I feel that in game newsgroups are the best form of communicating info and this will always be the flame city it has now become. Can anyone remember when this 1st started what its main principles were? and if so can we have them posted. I'm tired of people here trying to out do the others with smart words and trash anothers ideas or ideals. In the last post by Phil Sulking, I was disgusted at his attitude towards PBM and so wrote my mind, but there were others that replied to mine and others responses with big words and psycho clap trap that had no other intention that to further the argument, hence my responses were jokey and un-committal. And when I asked for comments on the inclusion of drugs in a PBM game the first few were civilised and I tried to draw it to a close, what happened, it degenerated into a slanging match about whose football team was best and who beat who, why should I or others waste there time reading it when it gets that way. I feel this is why we hear from the same people time and again on this NG. This is a longer post than I normally send, what I am trying to say is lets be adult about the content on here and I'll try not to respond with negative insults without seeing the others point of view.
