If I understand correctly (which is unlikely), he's saying:

1. People who design good PB(E)M games can design good computer games.

2. People who can design good computer games are likely to be hired as
computer game designers.

3. People who can design good PB(E)M games are likely to see the
opportunity to supervise a half-dozen people making a computer game for
AUD 80000-100000 (USD 49000-62000) as a great job opportunity.

4. People with an opportunity to be paid to design games won't continue
designing games for free instead.

I agree with all of this except for points 1, 2, 3, and 4.  Being able
to design a good PB(E)M game isn't much related to the ability to design
computer games; being good at designing computer games isn't much
related to getting a job designing computer games; and, if one has those
skills in the first place, one probably has a career of one's own that
one prefers to the opportunities that Henry describes.  I don't find
that Henry has made a convincing argument that someone with such an
opportunity might not pass it up and continue producing free games in
one's spare time instead.
