Steve's referring to the game program itself - NOT the player interface.
Madhouse makes it's player interface as simple as possible because that's
what the majority of the market wants these days (that and it helps keep
order entry costs down for postal players, which is the bulk of Madhouse's
customer base).  The actual behind the scenes stuff in Dungeon is a very
complex set of code with lots of monster & NPC AI routines to respond to
player actions.
