Yes, there's a weekend meet at Birmingham University from 10th-12th
September. Send an SAE to Nigel Matthews, The Flat, Beaver House, 79
West Street, Farnham, Surrey GU9 7EH: ask for a flier for Manorcon PBM.

We didn't manage the door this year, hooray, so don't know exact
numbers, but they seemed fine and the con stayed busy up to the end -
we'd worried about everyone decamping to the pub and not returning, but
this wasn't noticeable.

Funny story to end with: After the last convention, one GM who didn't
attend gleefully sent me a copy of his newsletter containing an article
from one of his players rubbishing the event; supported by a couple of
other players who also said they'd had a lousy time. I was really
concerned, until I checked through the list we'd made, and didn't find
their names on it. Seemed the first guy had gate-crashed in the last
hour, while the others hadn't attended at all... You gotta laugh...
