Help! Seeking PBM Rules for "AD&D" From: cr@interlog.com (Patrick/RPG) Date: Tue, 27 Apr 1999 00:00:00 +0000 Hello all. This is my first posting to this group, and please excuse my newbiness! I am writing on behalf of a friend (penpal), who has neither a computer, nor internet access. He is interested in starting up his own PBM game for AD&D, and asked me to do a little research for him. Well, I received over 9000 hits with Alta Vista on '+dungeons +dragons +"play by mail"', so that didn't help me at all. Keep in mind, I have never played an RPG in my life (ignore the "RPG" in my .SIG, it is for something else.. :) ), so I haven't the foggiest about a lot of the things that are being referred to in the FAQ (for rec.games.pbm). I found info about mailing to PBM companies, but he is interested in starting his OWN PBM, as I stated above. Now, my big question: Is there a good site with a list of rules for starting, establishing, and continuing your own PBM game? I'm assuming he would take the role of dungeon master (is that correct? I'm unfamiliar with the venacular used in the game, but he would be the "head honcho" of sorts), so he would need his own rules, and then a set of rules for each player within the game. Please help! After reading some of the info in the FAQ, and through my friends enthusiasm, this is something I would like to try out myself! :) Many thanks, patrick. -- Cyberad/RPG aka Patrick M Pritchard * http://www.interlog.com/~cr PLUR- Peace Love Unity Respect -Live It, Love It, Be It, BELIEVE!
