Please contact us to obtain a list and a location. ==================== The Uplifted [F21] writes: Hmmm, something weird happened? Didn't all of this happen before? Looks like nothing had any consequences at all... Let's hope I'm not this groundhog guy and stuck here. ==================== Freedonia [F9] writes: One would think that trade and fighting don't mix. But it's amazing how big a difference a few big clubs can make in the effectiveness of negotiations. Especially with that little community of rattons who have suddenly decided to invite us to take over as their marshall! Our traders also want to remind any visitors that a message or other communication can ease any number of misunderstandings. Often. ==================== And Friends [F29] writes: Dear Mum and Dad, Busy searching for some bugbears at present. They are holding some Dragon Skulls which sound like a nice alchemical ingredient, but the blasted bears will not stay still. Robin PS Using the Burning triangle seemed to work... PPS In the chronicle last week someone asked a question about the Red Death Disease. I was hopeing the Oracle would answer, maybe he didn't spot it... ==================== Slash Y [F50] writes: The shrine owner shivered uncontrollably. He couldn't decide if it was from fear or excitement. He had heard the news. Pikay was outside the city gates and on his way in. His first stop would surely be at the shrine. Did he intend to dedicate the shrine to the blackest of all magics? Could he possibly want to continue his dark studies here? How many of the unholy servants would be with him? These were questions that he could not answer. The owner grinned to himself. Deep in his darkest thoughts he dreamed of becoming as powerful as the great Pikay. Was this his chance? Only time would tell... ==================== The Hammerfall Clans [F83] writes: } Report to King Thurin Longbeard on the Progress of His Scouts. } }Your Majesty, } } These lands known to the local populace as "West Argoth" are truly wondrous. }The terrain is pleasantly varied and many types of useful resources may be found }in abundance within only a few days march from the city. The ring of mountains that }surrounds our homeland is not impassable, after all. At least on the southern arm, a }few well used passes allow travel to a region of vast plains beyond. Travel across }the northern peaks still remains difficult, but your scouts are tirelessly seeking }a way across to discover what mysteries lie beyond. } A number of interesting peoples have been discovered in the valley and the }nearby hills, and we are beginning to have some success in enlisting them to our }cause. Their eventual submission to your majesty's rule seems inevitable. As of this }writing, caravan routes are being established to begin to exploit the valley's }resources, and your agents are readying themselves to establish garrisons in the more }populous areas of your new dominion. I will make a more thorough report upon my }return to the city. } Your Servant, } Mori Redbeard, Chief Surveyor ==================== Talon [F14] writes: Greetings Tr'chok the Death [C1259], We have received this report from our scouts: Attackers: Tr'chok the Death [C1259] of Townsmen [F1] 1 Fiend [fien] (rear center) CV: 216 @ (8 3) open. Lord Barm, Marshall of Dokoli Warlord of Clan Talon End of Turn Report ==================== --==== Rumors ====-- ==================== Does anyone else think that Red Death and Boiling Plague are much too excessive and random? We take requests (for a reasonable price). Whitewing Highsail, proprietor. ==================== Hey! Close the door! Who let these danged night bats in here?!? ==================== Baron Hsignol's second son had been excited when he left on his great adventure. He had traveled hundreds of leagues through the barren wilderness and had not worried about survival. Truth was, he had been desperately bored traveling by himself with no one to talk to. Until today. At the top of the hill were 10 wargs with a hungry gleam in their eyes. Maybe they would let a Prince of the old order pass by. Maybe. ==================== Torya and Ahon were having great fun. A few months back they had walked into a tavern. As they walked in the owner decided it would be a good idea to leave, for good. The ettin had never run a tavern before. It was well stocked and clean. Torya wanted to make a sign, The T&A Tavern. Ahon just wanted to eat and drink. Several months later the sign had not been made and there was very little food or ale left. Torya had been practicing playing the pennywhistle and Ahon had been practicing singing (usually drunk). When a couple of elven scouts came in, the ettin brothers were ready to entertain them. The booze is free, bring your own food, and you better give the entertainer a big tip. ==================== Gork the Tall One discovered an area of sulfurous gases and burning stone, the Wasteland node. A stone giant learning rust magic. The loss of his weapons and armor were a small price to pay. They could be replaced. But knowledge, magical knowledge, would make him strong, stronger than all other stone giants. ==================== Dark Council <archives> The entire Life clan was massacred during one of their ceremonies; the Life clan celebrates in the Overland and when they returned light-blinded to the beneath, stragglers were cut down by members of the assassins guild and the main body was blasted by fire and death clans with support of the minor ash and smoke clans while crossbowmen and longbowmen fired into the crowds; mace equipped thugs waited in various passages crushing any that tried to escape. During the weeks that followed, many of the assassins disappeared never to be seen again. It is thought that all low level participants and some key mid-levels were in their turn assassinated. The Life clan books of names have disappeared. It is possible that this Jihad will be carried out to the 9th generation as spoken in the cleansing rituals. ==================== My Dearest Angel I've regained my sight completely, but I still have the head aches. I'll been exploring and have seen things of disbelief, memory or not, things Are strange. The priests have offered to teach me their ways. While I'm Here perhaps I'll learn something. ==================== Ethan awaits word of Naaman in Umwrig [L3333] (33, 33). Ethan will reward those that destroy Naaman. ==================== Auraus [U8771] the gold dragon signals his master in Ilyria [L13345]. ==================== In fair Ilyria [L13345], Guri [C8769] awaits those who would request transportation or knowledge. ==================== The Formicite Hunting Hordes are forgotten but not gone. One of my scouts was just slaughtered by them. ==================== Breathlessly, the guardsman ran in the the room "Sir, the giants from the south are on the move again!" he shouted out to his commander. The commander paused and seemed deep in though for a minute. His voice was gravely when he spoke: "Ready the catapults. It's time we quashed those upstarts once and for all." ==================== Chronicle End Mark ----- Mark Thomas thomasSPAMGUARD@clark.net http://www.clark.net/pub/thomas You can't manage creativity.
