Still looking for more players. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- It was cold when he woke up, and he was hungry. Looking about, the bare earth stretched featureless for as far as he could see, which was about 12 feet in all directions. A fine mist had settled all about. "No time to lose", said a voice behind him. He leapt to his feet and swirled to face the speaker, but he could make out no form in the mist. "Who are you? Where am I?", he stammered, and staggered in search of the Voice. "I am your guide, this is the Nexus, and you cannot find me. Shall we begin?", replied the Voice. "The Nexus? The real, actual Nexus?" "No, just a beta version, but quite real enough for you. Look at yourself." He looked at himself, or at least what remained of his once-impressive human form. No flesh remained. No hair. No internal organs. He was a skeleton. "How, what, how do I think?", he gasped after taking a several moments to regain his power of speech. "Your mind is elsewhere - don't concern yourself with that. You will also find that you still need to eat, although I suggest that you do it in private, as it's quite disgusting to watch. Those that are with you for any length of time will become like you - it will be hard to make friends. You should wear a cloak to disguise your form." The former man sank to the ground, desperately trying hard to understand and reconcile what he was being told. The Voice waited, then went on. "Your new home is called Atlantis. It is a pleasant, green land, but you will find it hard to live there. When you need money, dig anywhere and I will provide for you, up to a limit of 5050 gold in value. Here's a shovel". He saw a shovel lying on the ground, and picked it up. "How will I find this Atlantis", he asked. "Walk in any direction", said the Voice, and was heard no more. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The newly christened nation of 'Good Luck' seeks communications with our fellow explorers and adventurers.
