I just arrived to the world, everything's new, but the other guys ('n' dolls?) have been here for months! Whereever I turn the world is fully populated. As far as my eye reach (due to a mistake in last turns orders, that's one hex from my starting city in two specific directions) it's crawling with life. I hate that. I came here for the killing! But I'd better wait a bit with that, beeing so new to this world. I hope your preparations are proceeding acording to our mutural plans and I'm looking forward to seeing you here by the end of next month. Yours Rap ----------------------------------------------------------------- From the shadows, Cloak watched the sea-elven representative of the Atlantis Times give away his money. "Money, fresh money, get it while it's hot", bawled the elf at the top of his voice. Cloak fumed quietly, furious in the knowledge that the precious 50 silver per month that he had worked so hard for was, in fact, available to non-contributors as well. He stepped out of hiding and approached the elf. "Good day to you, sir", said the skeleton cheerfully from beneath his all-concealing hood. "How's business today?". "Brisk, guv'nor, very brisk. You wouldn't believe how many people are after money these days", replied the elf stupidly. "In fact, I've only got 100 silver left. Want it?" Unable to bear it any longer, Cloak clobbered the elf with his shovel (damn fine implement) took the money and disappeared back into the shadows of Stinchar. ----------------------------------------------------------------- As Chadwik struggled back to the inn through the waist deep snow he hoped the other agents were faring better than he had. The inkeeper had mentioned something about a winter storm coming when he left the inn 2 days ago, "so what," he thought, "what's a little snow?" That was 2 days ago, the blizzard dumped 4 feet in a matter of hours and he'd just spent the last day and half fighting the elements to make it back; making it over to the next province was out of the question till this mess cleared. Artemis glared out the window at the drifting snow in the streets. Reports coming in had been nothing but bad, all operations brought to a stand-still. Figures, after the portal jump, he'd wind up in the southern hemisphere with blizzards in May. "Well, guess we'll make the best of it," he muses, "let's see if I can find an apprentice magic user that needs a sponsor." ----------------------------------------------------------------- Up
