Generic PBEM adjucators? From: echoota@aol.com (Neil Carr) Date: Wed, 16 Jun 1999 00:00:00 +0000 Is there any idoit proof PBEM programs that will let me set up my own computer moderated game of my own design without needing to know much in the way of programing? I want some kind of application where I can set use minial programing knowledge to set up a grand strategy game for my friends and I. It really just needs to be able to keep track of movement, resource gathering and spending and the like. I'd like to set up a code system of orders, the players email their orders in a specified text format and then I cut and paste the orders into the program and it reads it and updates positions and resource ammounts. Like I said, I don't know much of anything with programing. I can handle if - then type stuff but if I have to really get technical then I'm lost, or that is, I don't have the time to learn the programing to do the job I want to do. I recall using a Diplomacy adjucator that was simple, if tedious, to setup. I adjucated some variant maps and the program let me create the map file by listing with appropriate syntax how all of the territories matched up with one another. I'd like something like this but more generic since I'm not doing Diplomacy. Just something that will let me do the tedious work of setting up the parameters of the world but not requiring me to actually code how it handles keeping track of all of that. Any suggestions would be great. Referenced By Up
