Ah, that brings back memories - I used to spend whole days on this one
working on my turns. Loved it, not surprised it won the award.

On the other hand, at least the U.K. version, was completely bug-ridden
and unplayable in the final analysis because combat never worked
properly !

I think this is something people seem to forget when talking of any sort
of 'golden age' in the past. A lot of computer moderated or mixed
moderated game had bugs of some kind. I spent a lot of time on the phone
to GM's in the late eighties/early nineties.

This is in stark contrast to now, when many companies run an extremely
professional ship. There may be less overall but the ones there are do
it much better, in general, than they used to. If only I had time to
play any games which I don't currently :(
