Atlantis 4.0 Playtest Times 10 From: "Robert Tonini" <robert.tonini@nashville.com> Date: Sun, 11 Jul 1999 00:00:00 +0000 Atlantis 4.0 Playtest Times 10 July 13 ----------------------------------------------------------------- To Read more about Atlantis: http://www.nashville.com/~robert.tonini/atlantis.htm Email: atlantis@nashville.com for information or to join. ----------------------------------------------------------------- There was a young elf in Ferbane Whose job was rather mundane All day he would toil To nourish the soil And all for a unit of grain. ----------------------------------------------------------------- "A local seeking empoy." announced the guard and escorted a white coated stranger into Tamara's encampment. The stranger presented his business card: Jonathan - Dentist. He clunked down a bag containing an assortment of improbable-looking dental instruments - manacles, out-sized forceps, sinisterly curved instruments of uncertain use and even an iron poker discoloured at one end, apparently by frequent re-heating to red hot. "Show me to the dungeon and we can start" he commanded, leering in sadistic anticipation. "Err.." stammered Tamara "There seems to be some confusion. I'm not *that* Tamara." she said "In fact, any resemblance to anyone living, dead or living dead is purely coincidental." Jonathan's shoulders slumped with disappointment (quite feat for a hunchback) and he left, muttering under his breath something about trying his luck in Stinchar. Tamara wiped the sweat from her brow and thanked the Fates that she had ended up in Langholm. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Galaxial Trading Company[F22] writes: Hmm, according to the scribes reports, everything seems to be shaping up, finally. It may be time to go have a look at things though. Some of the scouts are reporting they'll be briefly delayed to to requiring "retraining", and there's something weird going on down south. The taxes are finally coming in; but, now they're griping about there being to many collectors for the area, and some reports have started mentioning something about a circus. A few other problems have been creeping into the mix also, his Lordship, the Grand Duke Vos seems to have a corner on the horse market; and, there doesn't seem to be any stone or iron to be found anywhere except the city. Of course, since the area is mostly swamp and forest that would figure. Lots of wood though, now what could we do with all the wood? ----------------------------------------------------------------- The Seekers[F11] writes: Looking for a trade-oriented faction, whole or part, to exploit resources near one of the starting cities. If you're only part-trade, there are great opportunities for the other side of your faction as well. This would lead to a full cooperative alliance.
