Yes, it was an American PBM magazine.  It's no longer being published.  In
the US the PBM sports (usually called fantasy sports) aren't generally
considered part of traditional PBM and make up their own (much larger)
industry.

Try the Open Directory Project instead the URL is
http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Play_by_Mail/ it's got a much better selection of
PBM sites.

More PBEMs are free then PBM games, but they are still several good
commercial PBEM games out there.
