My experience converting Gunboat Empires from PbM to PbeM would support you Rich. I made a great Win32 front end only to discover that my player base had a lot more Win 3.1, Mac, and Unix users than I realized. A painful decision to throw away all that effort but the web redesign seems to work much better.
