We weren't talking about ''good cutoff times'' though, although that might make
an interesting topic.  We were talking about a player blatantly ignoring the
companies House Rules and trying to claim they were somehow ''exempt'' from
them.

Maybe so.  That's a matter of opinion.  It wasn't the point that was being made
though.  The company in question stated their cutoff time clearly and ran the
game after it had passed.  They stated that missing orders would be processed
and charged clearly and did so.  My point was that they were correct to do so.
The player was in the wrong, here.

We stopped getting a second post over a year ago.  You Devon guys are lucky.

Its an interesting one, but I don't agree (in a nice way) <grin>  We have, at
times, followed the same policy.  But in my experience the more leeway you
allow with the house rules the more the players *expect* and the worse you look
when forced to stick to your guns.  Consequently, I feel it is usually better
to stick to the rules in the first place.

I agree about Monday, but Saturday is my favourite day for deadlines.

I dont get second post on *any* day.
Our sorting office have done away with it. Last I heard, *all* PO's were going
to do away with it over the next year or so.
