Hi Locdown

I'm currently playing in my first game of Legends and am very impressed.
The turn editor makes entering orders very easy & holds all of your
mapping data & other info for you making life simple. There is a DOS
version (the LTE) which is free and a Windows version (LPE) which costs
�10. The game can be played in may ways (position based or character
based) & deciding on the setup can be quite a task! Personally I'd
recommend it even though I've traditionally played hand-mods over the
last 17 years or so. There are a number of very helpful players out
there who will teach you a lot & not try to screw you as can happen in
some games. There are many Web sites on the Net - the best place to
start is http://www1.tip.nl/~t017001/legends.html. You're in luck if
you're thinking of starting now - there is a new game due to start in
the US in October & November in the UK. The new module, Adventures in
Avalon, has only been started once before so everyone will be on a level
playing field. The best thing for me is the play by e-mail option - I
KNOW that Harlequin will have my turn in my mailbox at 6:30 on a Monday
& that sure beats the crappy postal service's erratic deliveries.
