[PBeM Opening] NAISU Seeks Players From: godot22@earthlink.net (PJ Killian) Date: Wed, 29 Sep 1999 00:00:00 +0000 NAISU [North American Indoor Soccer Union] is a free play-by-email indoor soccer simulation game which is beginning its fourth season of play under its current rules. There is one definite opening for a new manager, and there might be one or two others, depending on whether certain managers decide to come back or not. NAISU is a medium-complexity game--less tricky than, say, EEFL--but there is more to running a team than picking a starting lineup. The game features promotion and relegation (between two divisions), an annual college draft, and a Cup competition. Lineups are due once a week, or twice a week if you're still alive in the Cup competition. Matches are run by a computer, and some administrative stuff is also computer-moderated. The expectation is that you will be able to spend 15-30 minutes a week on NAISU stuff, and a greater time commitment is often rewarded with a more successful team. The rules are in the process of being re-written, but they are mostly complete and you can read what's out there on the NAISU website at http://naisu.cjb.net. (Or http://home.earthlink.net/~godot22/NAISU/ if your browser doesn't go for redirection.) If you have any questions about the rules, don't hesitate to ask. If you don't have web access, I can mail the rules out to you. If you want to apply for an expansion club, I will need the following information: * Your proposed club's name * Your proposed club's home city (must be a medium- to large-sized city in the US or Canada) * Your proposed club's uniform colors * The name of your proposed club's home arena Thanks for your interest!
