[AD]Day One IF RPG From: "Roy 'Plod' Pollard" <plod@NOSPAMproweb.co.uk> Date: Thu, 09 Dec 1999 00:00:00 +0000 OK, so its an advert, but what the hell - there might be people interested. Day One - the near-future Interactive Fiction/RPG PBM - is again looking for new players. Based on the plot and setting of a trilogy of books that are no longer in print and for which the designer can't remember either the titles or the author, you begin as a young, affluent member of the ruling classes in a world which to most of your peers is as close to a perfect society as one can get when humans are a factor. How wrong they are. The pro's Its being going for a while and is less likely to fold Its a prose-based game, human moderated to allow greater freedom Its stats-free Its as easy or as difficult to play as you want The cons Its been going for far too long and thats always ominous Its prose-based and human moderated so it might be too-tricky for Americans and people who don't interact well with other humans {TAKE COVER!} Its stats free, so all you calculator-wallahs definitely won't like it Its as easy or difficult to play as you want - meaning that the Rulebook is far too easy to read and takes only five minutes to finish Interested? www.dayone.demon.co.uk (apologies to Nestcape people, we will sort it soon) Referenced By Up
