THE BRIEF - Bear with me I've just joined a PBM game, and the first thing I got from them was an invite to a Games Day involving networked PCs, a big face to face game based on the RPG and a piss-up in the evening with fireworks ('explosives' in their words), non-legal hallucinogenics (if required) and a big fight to end it all ... THE QUESTION Is this normal? I'm new to PBM but I've always had the impression of people sitting around with their bits of paper, never communicating with (never mind drinking-with) the players they're trying to crush into the ground. Have I found a game filled with all the extroverts missing from other games, or is every PBM player a closet anarchist?
