Its an interesting point and in general I agree with you.  My own point is that
I feel the sites we are talking about are plenty good-looking enough not to
deter any but a few 'net gurus'.  Personally, from a GMs point of view, I'd
rather do without the net gurus anyway.  I guess its all personal opinion how
good or bad a site looks and your own standards are higher than mine for ''what
is good''.

However, your comments made me think.  Im not sure they are entirely correct.
You argue that a 'boutique shop window' is what we should aim for because a
''second hand shop window'' is less appealing and professional.  Yet, when
shopping for games I know I prefer those dark musty shop windows full of hidden
treasures than the flashy 'games Workshop' type store.  They are more
mysterious and exciting.  I guess it depends who you are tatgetting.
