UO Addiction Over- Enjoying PBM Again From: kmgraphiks@aol.com (KMGraphiks) Date: Thu, 30 Dec 1999 00:00:00 +0000 Howdy Everyone, Well, I'm over my 6 hour a day addiction to Ultima Online that caused me to drop out of the PBM hobby over a year ago. I've realized there's lot's better ways to put my time to use....like creating stained glass and mozaic tables...and even playing turn-based PBM games. I've been playing in a free game of World Domination for a few weeks now and have been enjoying the old 'PBM process' immensely. I've even drug out a stack or two of old PBM rulebooks to see if a commercial game catches my eye. Comments & Questions: I was sorry to hear of the death of Dave Webber, the publisher of Paper Mayhem. He was a heck of a nice guy and really helped shore-up the PBM hobby here in the states as the industry slowly diminished. Most of you probably know that I sold The PBM Report to Kerry Harrison when i left the hobby. I hear that Kerry is fulfilling the old subscription obligations as agreed upon (as I knew he would)...and has published and mailed issue #9 of the PBMR. Has anyone received their copy and have an opinion of the issue? Maybe Kerry will even read this and send me a free issue for old times sake, eh? :) Ken Mitchell Ex-Ultima Online Junkie Ex-Publisher of the PBM Report Up
