I've had the pleasure to work with Bob on a number of PBM projects ....American
Flagship, which he published...and some games he licensed; Godfather, Eldritch,
etc. His initial enthusiasm and creativity were at such a high level that I
thought PBM was surely going to be one of the fastest growing hobbies in the
USA. Alas, even he couldn't sustain that level for very long. With the hobby
dwindling in the states and his sometimes precarious health (dare I include
metal health? <G>), he would usually decide to seek greener pastures after a
year or two.

But one thing about Bob.... the pbm bug never really leaves him. He usually
returns every couple years to dabble in the hobby again. Currently I believe
he's writing a column for UK Flagship and playing in a couple of classic pbm
games.
