NW PBeM GM -- request any and all constructive criticism From: carl <gothmug@texas.net> Date: Wed, 19 Apr 2000 00:00:00 +0000 Hello all -- I've been running my first PBeM for almost a year now, and have over all been very pleased with its development. It has continued to be "Fun" for me (the main point, right?) and the players have untill recently been very energetic and enthusiastic. But suddenly I've had a rash of 5 of my original 7 players pick up and leave. While I'm presently in the process of adding 4 more -- I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. I've played in PbeM games for a few years now -- and I've seen it happen time and time again. Just when things start getting interesting -- character personalities are nailed down, the plot it turning from combat to combat to an ongoing plot -- players start dropping out. Why? Such would seem to be what is developing in my game. I would welcome any ideas and/or criticisms from whomever -- public or private. I have a very thick skin and would like to save my game. Please check out my website at: http://uriel18.home.texas.net/pbem/100rye/ Thanks in advance to any who care to respond. --carl GM for 100rye Referenced By Up
