A favourite topic this one - on time service, or notification if turns are
to be late (email turns only obviously) and an idea of when GM's are
available to discuss games, errors, etc by phone.  As to compensation, if
the error can be corrected without affecting another players turn, I would
expect that to be done and that's it.  If it does affect another player,
then maybe some adjustment is needed, but that depends on the
circumstances.  Response time to queries on email - I expect a response
within 2 or 3 days, even if it is to say that the question can't be
answered straight away.  I must say I've only had one lousy GM in the last
11 years of PBM and PBeM, and he hasn't been in the hobby for at least 6
years now.

Common sense from players - call during reasonable hours, keep it clean
unless you're the GM's close personal buddy (Hi Pete!), no orders in
pencil, definitely keep accounts positive (even though I have been guilty
of this occasionally.... :)  ), and buy the GM a beer at every con you go
to.  It's easy for me down under - there aren't any anymore!
