Interstelen -- new, free, strategy Web game

Interstelen is a completely free, turn-based, strategic multiplayer Web
game of interstellar conquest and domination.  You can choose a game
that suits your availability to play and timezone; games can update from
every few minutes to every day, and entering your orders will only take
a few minutes for every turn.  All you need to play is a modern,
graphical Web browser -- no Java, plugins, or downloads are required to
play, and even JavaScript is optional.<p>

Spend the income your population generates each turn on mining
nonrenewable resources, terraforming your star systems to make them more
habitable, and researching technology.  Create your own ship designs to
exploit the technologies you've developed.  Explore the galaxy;
establish colonies that will become profitable or colonize throwaway
worlds that you abandon when they run out of resources.  Start with your
isolated homeworld and build the infrastructure of your empire.  Conquer
the galaxy.

Coming summer, 2000.  We are currently accepting applications for
betatesting positions.
